Get Your Patch. Get On the Air.

Since 1994, South Shore Ham Radio Club has connected operators across Plymouth County and Eastern Massachusetts. Weekly nets, monthly meetings, public service events, and a group of people genuinely glad to help you get started. Fill out the application below and we will be in touch.

What You Get

Weekly Nets

Every Tuesday at 7 PM on the N1ZIZ / W1SHR repeater (146.685 MHz). PLtone -131.8 MHz. Node: 810171. EchoLink: N1IR-R. Check in, say hello, and get comfortable on the air.

Monthly Meetings

Second Wednesday of the month at 7 PM, Plymouth Airport. Talks, demos, and plenty of conversation.

Mentors & Exam Prep

New members are paired with experienced operators (“Elmers”). We will help you study, test, and set up your first station.

Public Service

Emergency communications training and support for local events, races, and agencies.

$40 per year

That’s it. Dues are paid to the Treasurer once your membership is approved. There is nothing to pay today.

Membership Application

Takes about five minutes. A club officer will follow up with next steps, usually within five business days. Prefer paper? You can download the application as a PDF and mail or email it instead. See all three ways to apply.
